Recently, we had the opportunity to work on two very different projects that perfectly show the range of what we can do—one was large-scale and labor-intensive, the other was simple but still important to us and the customer.
The 2025 Rice Production Manual – A Big Job Done Right
The University of California Agriculture and Natural Resources (UCANR) and UC Davis needed us to produce their 2025 Rice Production Manual. This wasn’t just printing paper—it was a project that required multiple moving parts and a lot of hands-on assembly.
Here’s what went into creating the Rice Production Manuals:
- Printed custom covers on durable stock to protect the contents.
- Printed spines so each binder is clearly labeled on the shelf.
- Printed the guts (interior pages) with clean, crisp text and images.
- Printed and collated custom tabs to separate sections for easy reference.
- Drilled holes in the guts and tabs for binder insertion.
- Hand-assembled everything into three-ring binders to create the finished product.
This job required patience, precision, and teamwork—but the end result was a professional, functional manual that will be used to help produce rice in California. It’s a perfect example of how our Sacramento printing services can scale to meet large, detailed projects.
Posters for a Veteran’s Group – Small Job, Same Care
On the flip side, we also recently produced four custom posters for a veteran’s group based out of Massachusetts. While this project didn’t require as many steps, it was just as important to the customer.
Here’s what the process looked like:
- Received the files from the customer.
- Made small design adjustments to ensure the posters would print clearly.
- Printed the posters on bright white 180 GSM stock, high-quality stock for a vibrant finish.
- Delivered the finished product in time for their upcoming auction event.
